FUNCTIONS HELD AS A CARRIER OFFICER OF THE VENEZUELAN FOREIGN SERVICE:

Joined the Venezuelan Foreign Service in October 17, Occupied, through promotions, several important positions at the Headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, among which:

Head of the United Nations Desk at the International Organizations Direction.

Head of the World Affairs Department at the International Policy Direction.

Head of the Department for International Organizations and Conferences at the International Policy Direction.

Director General (Deputy Foreign Minister), acting Foreign Minister in several occasions.

 

In the external branch of the Foreign Service held the following positions:

 

Minister Counselor at the Permanent Mission of Venezuela to the United Nations and International Organizations Office in Geneva. 1966-1967.

Minister Counselor at the Venezuelan Embassy in Italy and Greece, with seat in Rome. 1967-1970.

Minister Counselor at the Venezuelan Embassy in the USSR, Charge d'Affaires, a.i., with the mission of opening the Venezuelan Embassy in that country. 1970-1972.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary in Haiti, charged with the mission of opening the Venezuelan Embassy in that country. 1972-1973.
